"Nonsmooth optimization"

Motivated by the frequent occurrence of nonsmooth objective functions arising from various  applications, this minisymposium collects resent results with respect to nonsmooth optimization. This covers for
example the evaluation of Clarke Generalized Jacobian and subgradients for McCormick relaxations. New developments and extensions for existing approaches like the semismooth Newton method are
presented. Furthermore, new algorithmic ideas are discussed and analysed.
